IFCS Conference - 2 Credits

The IFCS Conference is an in-person event to network, reconnect, and build relationships within the Family and Consumer Sciences community. The format will be “teachers teaching teachers” and sessions will be centered on FCS successes in the classroom to build strong cluster programs and industry pathways. Participants who present at the conference are valuable resources to ensure the conference is successful and filled with a wide variety of teacher successes in the classroom. This 2-credit course is available to FCS professional who attend the IFCS Conference and also share their expertise by delivering a 30+ minute “best practices” workshop. Upon completion of this course, students will be able to … 1. Build strong programs in Idaho FCS community. 2. Establish a network of resources to support the delivery of the course. 3. Enhance curriculum with interactive activities. 4. Identify and demonstrate skills and attributes that will support a strong learning environment in the FCS classroom. 5. Plan, prepare, and deliver a “best practices” lesson(s) with conference attendees. 6. Strengthen teaching techniques to adult learners and colleagues.
