Mentoring Future Educators - Fall 2026

This one credit professional development course prepares cooperating teachers to mentor high school Education Assistant students participating in a semester field experience. Participants provide authentic classroom experiences that introduce students to the teaching profession while developing mentoring, coaching, and reflective practices. Cooperating teachers support the student’s professional growth through guided experiences, regular feedback, and evaluation while helping cultivate the next generation of educators.
